PAVILION AT THE HEART OF THE LAKE

The title "A Long Embankment on the West Lake" originates from the prose "Viewing the Snow Scene from the Mid-Lake Pavilion" by writer Zhang Dai of the Ming Dynasty, which originally depicted the snow scene of the West Lake. However, in the creation of the visual art, Shen Lie-Yi has abstracted the well-known scene of the white embankment of the West Lake and expressed the natural beauty of the lush greenery of the long embankment of the West Lake. Through the reflection of the mirror surface of the work on the surrounding environment, an incredible effect of shaking waves is created, which in turn conveys the tranquil and distant state of mind that Chinese literati have always pursued.
